The Ecumenical Imperative

The Society for Comparative Theology is a colloquium for faculty and graduate students of the Boston Theological Institute, as well as scholars in the greater Boston area. It meets on a regular basis for discussion and the presentation of current work by the Society's members. These meetings are open to all graduate students and faculty interested. The contacts for the current year are Dean John Berthrong at Boston University, Prof. Francis X. Clooney of Boston College and Prof. Kurt Richardson. The Next Meeting: Details

The second meeting this year for the Society will be Tuesday, April 17 from 7:30-9:30 PM,. in the fifth floor lounge of McGuinn Hall at Boston College.

The topic for this discussion is Conditions for the Possibility of Interreligious Dialogue on God, by Dr. Catherine Cornille of the University of Leuven, Belgium. Full text of the paper is available below.

Meeting Location
BC is at the end of "B" Green Line. Just walk up Commonwealth Ave (about 5 minutes) from the T stop, to the main gate. (The Chestnut Hill stop on the "D" Green Line is about a 10 minute walk from the campus, along Hammond St. to Beacon). Maps are available here. (From there, click on "Boston College;" McGuinn Hall is in the central quadrant of that map, next to Carney Hall.)

If you drive: in the evenings it may be possible to enter by the main gate and park near St. Mary's. If the campus is crowded, the campus police may direct you to one of the parking garages.
