Kingdom Rise, Kingdom Fall

A Celebration of the Spirit... with Caribbean flava!

welcome!

Kingdom Rise Kingdom Fall - is an event in three parts, sponsored by many collaborators...
Why the current upsurge in gospel music? What are the connections between Christian music, American soul, gospel, reggae, soca and calypso? Is there a religious revival taking place in the Caribbean, its effects rippling to New England Shores?
These are some of the vital questions to be explored this spring in an unprecedented immersion in the world of Afro-Caribbean culture. Bringing together people united by a love of music's ability to move the spirit, "Kingdom Rise, Kingdom Fall" combines a week-end academic conference with two rousing concerts/church events.
