The Ecumenical Imperative

This page contains a listing of some of the courses and workshops being developed by the Boston Theological Institute together with various partners. Contact the BTI for further information about this work and about the promotion of transforming and restorative justice principles and parctices in your church or other setting. The principles of restorative justice, principles that emphasize the interrelationship of victim, perpetrator, and community safety, are drawn from re-thinking that is occurring in relation to the criminal justice system. These principles and practices can be adapted in important ways by religious communities and other agencies as such promote individual and communal healing after conflict and trauma.
