The Ecumenical Imperative

The IME program works closely with a variety of groups as occasion and necessity suggest.

Many IME faculty belong to the American Society of Missiology, particularly the Eastern Fellowship of ASM. As the ecumenical professional association for mission studies in North America, the American Society of Missiology includes more than 600 academicians, mission agency executives and missionaries in a unique fellowship of scholarship and mission. A mission conference is sponsored each Fall Term. Faculty, students and friends are encouraged to attend.

Special mission courses are sponsored each year by the Overseas Ministries Studies Center (OMSC). These are occasionally available for academic credit for BTI students. The International Bulletin of Missionary Research is published by OMSC.
