Center For
Science And Religion Dialogue
Our
world today forces a science-religion dialogue. Environmental
issues draw us to a discussion of population and consumption.
Theology is challenged as never before by the concept of a “full
earth” and science by the question of global sustainability.
The inability to find a technological “fix” for these and other
factors which are aggravating the global environment draw science
into dialogue with such disciplines as economics and politics,
the human factors which propel us into debate over resource
allocation and land reform. The pressure for science-religion
dialogue comes from other domain as well, from biotechnology,
cosmology, and an array of technologies that are altering our
world.
